Envelop Risk (“Envelop”), the data-driven cyber reinsurance and analytics specialist, is pleased to announce the appointments of Michael Murdoch-Smith, JayLynn Hines and Sarah Kennerley.
Murdoch-Smith has been appointed senior vice president, underwriter, reporting directly to Dominic Peters, CEO of Envelop Underwriting.
Hines steps into the role of vice president, underwriter, reporting to Murdoch-Smith. Both will be based in Bermuda.
Meanwhile, in London, Kennerley has joined as vice president, underwriter, reporting to Chris Baddeley, senior vice president and head of cyber (London) Active underwriter for SPA 1925.
Murdoch-Smith brings an impressive track record with more than 20 years of insurance industry experience. He will be responsible for delivery of the cyber strategy for Envelop in their Bermuda platform. He joins from Park Indemnity where he was head of cyber underwriting, building out their global cyber programme. Prior to this, Murdoch-Smith spent 15 years at Allied World.
Hines brings 10 years’ worth of experience to Envelop Risk and will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the cyber strategy in Bermuda. Hines joins Envelop Risk from Ariel Re BDA where she was assistant vice president, underwriter – cyber, leading underwriting across the cyber treaty portfolio. Before joining Ariel Re BDA, she worked for Chubb Canada as assistant underwriter.
With 9 years’ cyber underwriting experience, Kennerley will be responsible for supporting the delivery of the cyber strategy for Envelop in their London platform. Kennerley joins from Axis Capital where she was previously open market cyber co lead, and has held various other underwriting and broking roles in London.
